Hosts USA are eliminated in the last eight by Uruguay, along with Panama Uruguay made the hosts a spectator in the Copa America. 15-time champions Uruguay beat the United States 1-0 in the 'C' group match in Kansas City today as group champions. Panama joined Uruguay in the last eight as group runners-up. The Central American nation beat Bolivia 3-1 in the other group match at the same time in Orlando today.

In the quarter finals, Uruguay will play against the runners-up team of Group 'D'. On the other hand, Panama will be the champion team of 'D' group. Tomorrow morning Brazil-Colombia match depends on who will be the champion and runner-up in 'D' group. Colombia is at the top of the group with 6 points after two matches, Brazil is second with 4 points. If the match is won, Brazil will advance to the last eight as group champions.

Uruguay won with defender Matias Oliviera scoring the only goal in the 66th minute. However, there is controversy about the goal. On the TV replay, it seemed that Oliviera was in an offside position. But VAR thought otherwise. Of course, the United States never seemed to win this match.
